Posti - Creating a modern eCommerce experience

Posti - the Finnish mail wanted to provide a modern online shopping experience to their customers. I studied their current eCommerce setup, global benchmarks and defined concepts on how they could turn their complex and outdates setup into a modern shopping experience.

My early process included stakeholder interviews, benchmarks and auditing the old site. After synthesizing and presenting the findings to my client I moved on to wireframing user flows and making early designs which were tested with users and iterated.

ROLE: Designer (UX&UI)
MADE IN: Columbia Road
CLIENT: Posti
DURATION: 6 months

METHODS & Tools: Figma, Agile, A/B testing, Google Analytics.

Understanding the complexities

For understanding the complex state of the current service, multiple internal stake holders were interviewed. The goal was to understand the different products and services that form the current online shop and the objectives for the future solution. This information allowed us to decide where to start with the new solution and objectives for the new customer experience.

Testing with users

The new purchase flow was tested with Posti’s customers. The tests were condutected remotely through video calls. The feedback validated that the direction we had chosen was clear from user perspective and gave us ideas for what more information users would like to know.

I liked that “Shop” was it’s own title - it made finding easy. It is clearly different from other informative content.

Final designs

For the final designs, the development team was consulted to ensure that the designs were feasible for the chosen technical platform. Some adjustments were made and the implemented frontend was reviewed.
